How to use an Employment Tribunal Claimant Witness Statement

You’ll need to support your own claim during your case, so you’ll probably need to prepare your own Witness Statement. You can use our Employment Tribunal Claimant Witness Statement template to guide you through telling your story as it relates to the list of disputed issues between you and your employer.

Examples of when a Claimant Witness Statement is used

A Claimant Witness Statement will be useful during your case as it will be taken into account by the Tribunal, and your employer will most likely ask you questions related to your Claimant’s Witness Statement. Here are a few examples of how your Witness Statement may be used:

Example

Munni needs to prepare a Witness Statement for his Employment Tribunal case.

He uses Valla to help him structure this so that it looks professional and ready for exchange with the Respondent.

Example

Aroofa needs to prepare a Witness Statement as her deadline for exchange is coming up.

She wants to make sure she tells her story whilst effectively demonstrating her evidence in relation to the claims she’s making.

Aroofa uses Valla to prepare her Witness Statement.

Example

What to do with your Employment Tribunal Claimant Witness Statement

What our customers say about us

Valla has been a lifesaver for me

They are so helpful and on top of that, everyone has been so nice. I really felt that they emphasised with what I was going through. I will be using them from now until my tribunal issue is settled.

Excellent low-cost employment tribunal guidance

I have just won my employment tribunal case for unfair dismissal, and I'm not sure if I would have been able to do it without Valla! Katie and Danae were absolutely brilliant in helping me prepare for the tribunal, prepare certain documents, and help me to feel confident in my case! I would highly recommend Valla to anyone who is representing themselves in an employment tribunal case! 10/10 for me!

Lewis

Valla are excellent

I genuinely believe they helped guide me to the best possible outcome for my specific circumstances. They are a choir of angels; I wouldn't have been able to consider going through the processes involved with my experience without their support.
